The ocean spray plant has 2 insects that don’t just feed off it but lay their babies! The insects are called moths and butterflies. The reason why they lay the eggs there is because the babies feed off it so when the eggs hatch they can eat the leaf. One of the insects that feeds off it is a Pale Swallowtail.
Ocean spray is a deciduous shrub. In the summer that shrub grows creamy white flowers. It can grow 10-20 feet tall and 8- 12 wide when it’s fully mature. The ocean spray is native to western North America from British Columbia to southern California.
