Cherry laurel is a species of evergreen plant in the rose family. It’s latin name is Prunus laurocerasus. It is native to regions bordering the black sea in southwestern Asia and southeastern Europe.
Cherry laurels get their name from a plant named a bay laurel because they are very similar . Cherry laurels are an evergreen species with a dense canopy. On average a cherry laurel can grow up to 5 to 15 meters 16 to 49 ft tall, rarely to 18 meters 59 ft.
