Located just north of New York City in Yonkers, NY, Untermyer Park and Gardens sprawls over 43 historic acres (17 hectares), part of Samuel J. Untermyer’s grand “Greystone” estate.
This city public park is celebrated for its Walled Garden, an homage to ancient IndoPersian Paradise gardens, as well as two sphynxes atop towering Ionic columns, and many other historic garden elements. The park also houses the enchanting “Temple of Love”, a fascinating blend of rock and water elements, and a sweeping staircase leading to an Overlook that affords views of the Hudson River and the Palisades.
The beauty of Untermyer Park & Gardens is unrivaled in Westchester County.
